Hello world, PLP is down with
acute urticaria(A.K.A hives or nettle rashes).
What is it?
It is a skin condition, commonly caused by an allergic reaction, that is characterized by raised red skin wheals (welts).
The wheals may vary in size from about 5 mm (0.2 inches) in diameter to the size of a dinner plate; they typically itch severely, sting, or burn, and often have a pale border.
Urticaria is generally caused by direct contact with an allergenic substance, or an immune response to food or some other allergen, but can also appear for other reasons, notably emotional stress.
The rash can be triggered by quite innocent events, such as mere rubbing or exposure to cold.

It started off with my neck and then my body, followed by my arms to my wrists.
And this morning, it spread to my legs.
And it's really itchy!!!
The problem is that I can't scratch them otherwise they'll spread!
Visited Dr Ho this morning and upon seeing my rashes, he dug out a medical book from his shelf and showed me pictures of urticaria.
The funny thing was that he took the time to explain what urticaria was all about and how it happens.
And I unconciously switched on RP mode and asked him several questions.
And he was like O.O
Whoops.
And I was told that there are chances that it would become chronic urticaria.
Uh oh.
I read this online...
What are the foods that can cause acute and repeated attacks of urticaria ?
Foods that can cause urticaria include :
Nuts
Eggs
Fresh fruits (especially citrus)
Chocolates
Fish and shellfish
Tomatoes
Milk and cheese
Spices
Yeasts
And it makes me wonder.... was it the tuna sandwich?
