[Current mood: -]
[Current song: -]

The wedding on Thursday was fantastic!
To kick things off, the tea ceremony started early in the morning.
Connie and Damion served tea to their elders - their parents, uncles and aunts.

Then came the surprising thing.
We (siblings and cousins) were also supposed to say auspicious words and serve tea to them!
I was at loss for words because my chinese sucks, not to mention all those chinese phrases.
Nevertheless, I managed to get through it. Haha!

First up, Milli jie and Tze Loong kor serving tea to their big bro.

And then, me!

Followed by my malay cousin and Wendell kor.

The family photos...

Damion's family.

My family.

My youngest uncle's family.

My eldest aunt's family.

My 3rd aunt's family.

My malay aunt's family.

And with the bestmans.
It's coincidental that one of the bestmans (the one on the far right, beside my cousin, the groom) acted in The Little Nyonya as a calefare - he played as the workers who wanted to scald Yueniang with hot water and as one of the workers who wanted to rape Yueniang.
Because of his role, my cousins kept referring him as "ming xing", which means star in chinese.
And they kept emphasising on the fact that he was on television and has become a big star. Haha.

Me, Milli jie and her sister-in-law and big brother.

So after the tea ceremony, while Connie and Damion went over to Connie's parents' to carry out the tea ceremony, me and mum went over to eldest aunt's place to have our make up done by aunt Jessie.
After the make up, we went back home to prepare for the wedding dinner.

Ta-dah! Presenting the modern and the traditional.
Dad's was the retro but he's camera shy XD

Upon reaching Shangrila's Rasa Sentosa's Resort, the solemnization was already halfway through.
After it ended, we were ushered to our respective tables to wait for dinner, which was in about half an hour's time.

That's when Leanne jie and I got bored.

Chocolates!

And candle!

Grand-aunt and me.

My dearest Tze Loong kor and me.

Leanne jie, Milli jie and me

Leanne jie, Kylie and me

Me and some of my cousins (including my malay cousins)

The four of us.

So when Damion was asked to pop the champagne, he was too nervous(I guess) that he had trouble popping it open!
Everyone was cheering him on while some people (like my eldest aunt) shouted, "Don't shake it!" at 01:15
The funniest was Callum's "Shake the damn thing, man!" at 01: 25
Everyone was really amused and I couldn't stop giggling(that explains why the camera shook at some point of time).
You guys ought to see this!
Here's the video!

And of course, not forgetting the 3 cheers of the day!
Biggest credit goes to uncle Edward, who shouted at the top of his lungs till he was out of breath. Haha.

All the best to Damion and Connie for their future!
